Lavoriamo alla selezione del bassotto tedesco a pelo duro dal 1998. Da subito abbiamo rivolto la nostra attenzione non solo al mantello color cinghiale ma anche al foglia secca, in quel periodo praticamente assente in Italia e scarsamente allevato anche nel resto d'Europa. E ora possiamo con orgoglio dire che, anche grazie al nostro lavoro difficile, tenace e attento, dovuto a tanto amore e passione, oggi il color foglia secca non solo è accettato e apprezzato nei ring delle più prestigiose manifestazioni, ma è anche comparso o ricomparso nella maggior parte degli allevamenti di pelo duro. Per quello che riguarda i nostri foglia secca, ci teniamo a sottolineare il fatto che da sempre usiamo solo soggetti a pelo duro e che le nostre genealogie ci risultano avere solo bassotti a pelo duro alle spalle. Convinte che il bassotto per la sua grande intelligenza, la straordinaria versatilità e le piccole dimensioni sia un cane ideale da appartamento, ne conosciamo e apprezziamo anche le innate e distintive doti venatorie, cercando di privilegiare, oltre a un carattere docile e comunicativo, linee di sangue particolarmente portate al lavoro.

La cura e l'attenzione che da sempre poniamo nella selezione del color foglia secca, mantenendo linee di sangue di soli bassotti a pelo duro e lavorando su struttura e carattere, nella più alta qualità del mantello, stanno portando la nostra genealogia ai più importanti allevamenti d'Europa. Ringraziamo con affetto per il loro aiuto e le loro scelte questi amici allevatori, che stanno provvedendo con serietà e impegno al mantenimento di un colore così particolare e prezioso e con noi lo stanno portando sui più alti podi. Grazie ad Hanne Andersen (Kennel Ravnsager - DK) per i risultati di Rubio dell'Impero: Campione Danese, Svedese e Tedesco VDH, di tutti i suoi figli e nipoti e soprattutto della nostra "Ragù"-Ravnsagers Klara Gulla Akasut, che ha ottenuto tra gli altri uno dei più alti riconoscimenti tedeschi, l'Europasieger 2008!!! A Susanne e Janne Segersten (Kennel Bellomis - S) per Bellomis Yiippie Rödskägg: Giovane Campione Europeo 2006, Campione Svedese di Bellezza e Campione Svedese di Traccia su Sangue. A Kickie Andersson (Kennel Dovras - S) per Bellomis Yaspis Rödstrumpa: Campione Svedese di Bellezza. A Horvath Csaba (Kennel Manipulus - HU) per Ravnsagers Kryptonite for Manipulus: Giovane Campione Ungherese, Giovane Bundessieger Tulln 2007 e Derby 2007. A Sergiu e Liana Mihut (Kennel von Wuhlen - RO) per Despot Dalì del Tocai: Giovane Campione Romeno e Giovane Campione Mondiale WUT 2010. E a Philippa Jordan (NY, USA), la cui piccola kaninchen red merle Ravnsagers Raindrops Roseanne, nipotina della nostra Alice del Tocai, Campione Americano AKC, sta diventando una vera e propria star d'oltreoceano.

We have been breeding wire-haired Dachshunds since 1998. We have been working since the beginning not only on the colour wildboar but also on the red one, at that time almost absent in Italy and very rare all over Europe too. And now we can proudly say that now red wire-haireds are not only on the best podiums but also in a great part of wire-haired kennels. And this due in part to our strong, patient, difficult and passionate work too. Concerning our reds, we like to stress on the fact that we have always used wire-haired subjects whose blood has only wire-haired ancestors. We believe that Dachshunds for their intelligence, versatility and small size are perfect pets, but especially we trust in their natural and distinctive hunting. Therefore we try to work at both these aspects.

The care and attention that we have always put in the selection of the colour red, using only wire-haired subjects with only wire-haired lines and working on structure and temper in the highest quality of coat, are bringing our genealogy to the most important breeders in Europe. For their help and choices we would like to thank this group of conscientious and serious friend breeders, who are carefully working on this so particular and precious colour and are bringing it to the highest podiums.
