Nella vita mi divido tra il mio lavoro di imprenditrice nell’azienda paterna, la famiglia e… i bassotti.
Spiegare come sono entrati nella mia vita questi “piccoli diavoli” è abbastanza semplice: sono cresciuta con i cani da caccia. Mio padre allevava e addestrava Setter Inglesi, Pointer e Spinoni e con loro, ovviamente, cacciava. Io, fin da bambina, lo seguivo nei boschi e nelle campagne e lo aiutavo con le cucciolate che per me erano compagni di gioco e una sorta di “bambole viventi”.
Mi hanno accompagnato nella crescita anche tanti altri cagnolini, di razza pura e meticci ma, quando decisi di prendere un cane che fosse di dimensioni contenute e nello stesso tempo “di carattere”, nel 1998 scelsi Carlotta, una dolcissima bassotta nana nero focata.
Avevo già sentito dire: “Ci sono i bassotti e poi ci sono i cani”, ma non pensavo fosse COSI’ VERO! Lo è così tanto che nel 2003 arrivarono prima Camilla e poi Ugo, due standard, sempre nero focati, e nel 2004 i loro 6 cuccioli, tre dei quali rimasero in famiglia e con loro iniziarono anche le prime esposizioni.
Per loro ho “adattato” persino il mio hobby e così, partendo dalle bigiotterie con pietre dure, vetro di Murano e Swarovski, sono arrivata ai “bassotti gioiello”.
Ho iniziato a “creare” ciondoli, spille, portachiavi, strappi per cellulare, soprammobili e segnalibri per me e mia figlia Erica ma, dato che la “bassottomania” non è solo mia, adesso li realizzo anche su richiesta, ed è sempre su richiesta di amici e conoscenti che sono “nate” tutte le altre razze.

I share my life between my job of manager in my father's firm, my family and… my dachshunds.
It is quite simple to explain how these “little devils” entered my life: I have grown with hunting dogs. My father was a breeder and trainer of English Setters, Pointers and Griffons and, naturally, used to go hunting with them. Since a child, I followed him in the countries and the woods and I helped him with litters. Puppies were for me my playmates and a kind of “living dolls”.
Growing, I had other dogs, pure bred or cross bred, but in 1998, when I decided to keep for me a dog who was little but “with temper”, I chose Carlotta, a very sweet miniature smooth-haired bitch black and tan.
I had already heard the sentence: “There are dachshunds and there are the other bred dogs”, but I didn't know that it was SO TRUE! It is so true that in 2003 came also Camilla and Ugo, two standard wire-haireds, black and tan too, and in 2004 their 6 puppies, three of which remained at home. And with them began also the first expositions.
For my dachshunds I “changed” my hobby too and, starting from my stones, Murano glasses and Swarovski collars and trinkets, I began to do also my “dachshunds jewellery”.
I started “creating” pendants, pins, keys-holders, pendants for mobiles, knick-knacks and book-marks for me and my daughter Erica but, since “dachshund-mania” is not only mine, now I realize the same things also by request. And it has been always by request of friends and acquaintances that all the other breeds “have born”.
